Optometrist
Dr. Angela Salas Blanchard, O.D. is excited to expand Luxe Vision Care + Optical from its original location. After practicing for thirteen years in Sunset Valley, Austin, Texas, Dr. Blanchard is opening a second location of her optometry practice, along with her first optical studio, in Bee Cave, Texas.
Dr. Angela Blanchard did her undergraduate study for a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Florida, and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in 2004. She did extensive internships throughout South Florida and in Atlanta, GA before relocating to Austin, TX in 2005. Since then, she has enjoyed growing her primary eye care practice, building relationships in the South Austin community, and has developed a love for everything Austin. The new location in Bee Cave will offer clinical services, as well as optical fitting and dispensing. Dr. Blanchard’s passion for patient care drives this growth, aspiring to help patients optimize their visual needs while ensuring eye health and wellness.
In her free time, Dr. Blanchard loves spending time with family, community, and being involved in service. She is happily married and stays busy with her two sons, who are active in LTYA sports. She enjoys being on Lake Travis, taking runs and bike rides, and relaxing with friends and neighbors.
Optical Manager/Optician
Kimberly has been in the Optical Industry since 2017 where she was able to apprentice under pronounced Opticians and Optometrists. She Currently Specializes as an Optician and Myopia Management consultant and is currently pursuing a Vision Therapy Certification. In her free time she loves to hike and work on projects varying from home renovation to painting.
Optician
Rachel has been an Optician and lab technician since 2018. She was trained by well-known optometrists and opticians. The time she’s spent in this profession has been the best years of her life! She was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and enjoys traveling the country, hiking, painting, and anything creative or hands-on.
Ophthalmic Technician
Courtney grew up in southern California, moved to the Austin area in 2014 and graduated from Lake Travis High School in 2019. She has enjoyed being an Ophthalmic Technician since 2021 and is now an Optician Apprentice. She earned a medical and nursing assistants certification and has always had a passion for the medical field. Courtney specializes in contact lens training and the Myopia Management program. She greatly enjoys working with children and seeing their excitement after getting a new pair of glasses or contacts. Her aspiration is to become a third generation optician. Courtney is a huge bookworm, and loves to go hiking with her golden retriever, Indy.
